UTV Motion Pictures & Thirrupathi Brothers are celebrating the 50 days run of their Lingusamy directed Vettai today (March 4).

The film has Arya, Madhavan playing brothers and cast opposite sisters enacted by Amala Paul and Sameera Reddy.

The film which released for Pongal is a hit and has done well uniformly in multiplexes and B & C centres. It was a well-made mass entertainer which had peppy songs by Yuvan Shankar Raja, and celebrated 50 days in more than 50screens in Tamil Nadu.

The success of Vettai is mainly due to the superb marketing of the film by UTV across all media, which gave it tremendous brand identity.

The masala content and marketing made it reach out to a large section of the film market.

The Telugu dubbing version of Vettai titled Bhale Thammudu is releasing later this month in Andhra.

Now seeing its success Vettai is being remade in Hindi by UTV with Shahid Kapoor playing the action role done by Arya.
