Aascar Films have bagged the Tamil Nadu Theatrical rights of the Ajith starrer Billa 2. Contrary earlier reports that the production house has the rights to distribute the film throughout India, we now have news that they will be distributing it only in Tamil Nadu.

Of course, a very huge sum has been shelled out by Aascar Films and Billa 2 will now get the grandest opening ever with the film in the best hands.

Billa 2 stars Ajith, Parvathy Omanakuttan, Prabhu, Vidyut Jamval and others. It has been directed by Chakri Toleti and Yuvan Shankar Raja has handled the music department.

The Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of Billa 2, the most awaited film of the year has been sold for a whopping price of Rs30 crores! And legendary producer Aascar Ravichandran has bagged the deal!

Confirming the news to DC, Aascar, who has quite a few big budget films under production said, "Yes, my production house has acquired the TN release rights of Billa 2".

However, he was not forthcoming about the price paid for the film. "I felt there are no big film releases this summer. So, Billa 2 is worth a shot," was all he was willing to divulge.

According to sources in the know, the music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is one of the highlights of the film. With the audio launch around the corner, the producer, who is known for his unique style of promoting films, has planned to make it a memorable event.

Insiders aver that Ravi is making all efforts to bring out the music on May 1, which also happens to be Ajith's birthday. All the stars including two sizzling ladies Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal and director Chakri Toleti are expected to attend the glitzy event.
