With the petition filed by the producers of the film '3' the High Court of Madras has issued an order banning the illegal use of the content of the film in any form in the media – Big screen, TV, Internet and other medium of communication to protect the rights of the film.

 R K Productions had filed a petition for an injunction in the court for the above order as the makers of the film predicted that the film's content would be reproduced or communicated in the media and this would affect the commercial prospects of the film. With such orders the industry believes that they could contain piracy of the film.

'3', that released yesterday, has been running successfully with rave reviews and keeping the box-office ringing. The film features Dhanush and Shruti Hassan in the lead and directed by Aishwarya Dhanush.
