Director Vijay on Amala Paul and his Vikram film ‘Thaandavam’

Director Vijay, of 'Madrasapattinam' and 'Deiva Thirumagal', in an interview with media brushed off rumours about him and actress Amala Paul saying the recent reports of casting her in his next film is baseless.

"I'm tired of explaining about our relationship. She is a good actress and I cast her in my film 'Deiva Thirumagal' as I wanted a girl like her for the role," says A L Vijay denying reports. When quizzed about whether he is casting the actress in his next film that he is making with actor Vijay the director said, "I have not decided about my cast in my next film. All I know about my next is that the film has Vijay as the hero. Right now I'm concentrating only on my current film 'Thaandavam'."

'Thaandavam' has Vikram doing a cop again, after his 'Saamy'. Anushka and Amy Jackson are doing the female lead in the film. "'Thaandavam' is an action flick, a very different one for Vikram. I have cast Anushka and Amy not just to have heroines. They have powerful characters to play," adds Vijay.
