FEFSI – Producers’ Council Crisis Intensifies

The stalemate between the workers union FEFSI and the Producers' Council takes a serious twist with FEFSI announcing a fresh indefinite strike from April 7, not only stalling the Tamil film shoots that is happening inside Tamil Nadu also around the globe.

The workers union's fresh call for the strike includes stalling Tamil film's post-production work also. They have also announced that even the Television shoot and post-production work would also be stopped from April 10.

S A Chandrasekar, the President of the Producers' Council says, "This is an unwarranted wrong move taken by the union which would cripple the future of the entire industry growth. FEFSI members are dancing to the tunes of some selfish people who are spoiling the lives of many in the industry for their vested industry. Now, there is no other way other than forming a new workers union who would cooperate with us and make the industry move ahead."

The Nadigar Sangam President Sarathkumar, meanwhile, has initiated steps to bring peace between the warring factions and resume the film shoots.
