Actor Prashanth is celebrating his birthday today as he is turning 39. The actor was born in Chennai to actor-director father Thiagarajan.

Prashanth was introduced to films in 1990 with 'Vaikaasi Porandhaachi' where he paired with another debutant Kaveri, who is now a busy TV serial actress. The actor went on to make films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages and delivered many hits including 'Chemparuthi', 'Thuruda Thiruda', 'Jeans', 'Parthen Rasithen' and the latest 'Mambattiyan'.

The actor was married to Grihalakshmi but the marriage failed and the actor is single again. The actor is also a businessman who has investment in real estate.
