One of the biggest producers in Kollywood V Creations Kalaipuli S Thanu has taken over the Tamil version of Santosh Sivan's Urumi.


The film originally made in Malayalam and released last year was a hit. Urumi has Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Genelia, Nithya Menen in the lead with a special appearance by Arya, Tabu and Vidya Balan.
Vairamuthu has written lyrics tuned by Deepak Dev.

Thanu feels that Urumi has huge potential with its array of stars under the direction of ace cinematographer Santosh Sivan.

The period film is spectacular with great action scenes choreographed by Anal Arasu and melodious music.

Kalaipuli Thanu who is marketing it in Tamil said: " Urumi in Tamil is going to be a big release towards the end of April. It will release in 300 plus screens and will be promoted aggressively."
