Lisa Haydon to debut in Tamil movie

Looks like Bollywood bombshell Lisa Haydon’s wish to act in a Tamil film has come true. She’s now signed up to be part of director Ahmed’s Endrendrum Punnagai.

The ‘Vaamanan’ director, who has roped in Jiiva and Trisha for this film, was on the lookout for an actress to play a character-driven role, and had approached Lisa for it.

And now, sources tell us that the Shake It Saiyyan… girl has signed the film. Confirming the news, Lisa’s spokesperson tells us, “Lisa loved her character and has given the makers her go ahead. However, we can’t divulge details about it unless there’s an official announcement from the director. Nevertheless, she is quite kicked about the film.”

Not long ago, the actress had told us, “Though I was born in Chennai, I didn’t get a chance to spend my growing years here. So, I’d always wanted to do Tamil movies. As long as I get a very good role in a good film, I’m game for it. I’m just waiting for a good script.”

Director Ahmed, who will soon be leaving for Turkey with Harris Jayaraj for the composing session, says, “Jiiva, Trisha, Lisa Haydon and Santhanam have been roped in for the film. Talks are on with a couple of more actors as well. The film is an urban musical entertainer, and is about a gang of best friends. The script will also deal with the father-son relationship, and the different problems the current generation faces. It’s on the lines of slice-of-life flicks like Dil Chahta Hai, but the storyline is original and not has not been inspired. It’s a contemporary take on life, and how to live it to the fullest.”
The movie is set to start in June.
