Karthika was supposed to play the lead role in remake of Sattam Oru Iruttarai, to be directed by S A Chandrasekhar. But she pulled out of the last moment.


The baton now seems to have been passed to Pia Bajpai. Pia Bajpai shot to fame with Goa and Ko. SAC, who directed the original way back in the 80s, is producing the re-make too.

Reemma Sen of ‘Dhool’-fame is also part of the cast. Confirming her move to sign the film, Pia wrote on her Twitter page:

‘Signed Tamil film remake of “sattam oru irrutarai” as a main lead…photoshoot gonna happen soon…:))’

Pia will be hoping that her career in Kollywood is re-ignited again with this signing and more in future.
