Simbu is always in the news for all the wrong reasons. The mercurial star, whose talents are never doubted by any, has made some wrong choices in choosing his scripts and has somehow settled in Kollywood as an actor of ‘substance’ post the success of Gautham Menon’s Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya which turned out to be a significant hit for both Menon and Simbu.

Sources close to Simbu say that he is ‘deeply upset’ by the widely reported clash between stars Magadh and Manoj as he happens to be a close friend of both of them. As such, Simbu has attempted some ‘peace-making’ efforts to broker truce between them before the matter gets ‘bigger’ now that a complaint has been lodged with the police against Manoj.

Magadh debuted in Ajith’s Mankatha and remained a largely unknown actor to the viewers till the brawl broke out last weekend. He now recuperates at a private hospital in Chennai after getting ‘severely attacked’ reportedly be Manoj’s friends and the actor himself.

Manoj, despite starring in Tamil films, remained a stranger to Tamil audiences and has become popular thanks to the ‘clash’. Many are aware only now that he is the song of Telugu superstar Mohanbabu. The clash hasn’t gone down well with the members of the public who have now started believing that the film stars often drink heavily and clash among themselves.

Simbu, a common friend of both Magadh and Manoj, is reportedly ‘holding talks’ with both the parties. It remains unknown as to whether his efforts at brokering peace turned fruitful or not.
