The audio of actor Jiiva’s upcoming film Mugamoodi was launched in the city yesterday. Vijay, who co-starred Jiiva in Nanban early this year and has forged a strong friendship with the latter, released the film’s audio cassettes and CDs which were accepted by Puneet Rajkumar, popular Kannada actor, at a glittering function.


The film has been produced at a huge cost by UTV Motion Pictures and has been directed by Mysskin. Many directors, producers and artistes from Kollywood took part at the event. The film is billed at Tamil cinema’s first-ever ‘super-hero’ venture and promises pure entertainment to all.

Jiiva is paired up opposite model-turned-actress Pooja Hegde who would be debuting in Tamil films with Mugamoodi. Narain, who played the hero in Mysskin’s earlier ventures such as Chittiram Pesudhadi and Anjathay, play a villain in this film. Nasser, Girish Karnad and Selvaa are among those who play significant characters in the film.

K is the music director of the film which has been cinematographed by Sathya and edited Gaugin. Mysskin made Jiiva and Narain undergo rigorous training in the martial art form of Kung-Fu to prepare for their roles in the film which has been shot in India as well as in Europe. Many technicians who usually work for Hollywood films have put in their hardwork for Mugamoodi which is likely to hit the screens on 31st August.
