'Karnan' successfully completes 150 days
Sivaji Ganesan's magnum opus Karnan, which was re-released recently in more than 50 screens across Tamil Nadu, has completed 150 days recently.
A grand event was organised in Chennai; Sivaji Ganesan's son Prabhu and director P. Vasu gave away mementos to the surviving members of the film's cast and crew, which includes composer M. S. Viswanathan, singer P.B. Srinivas, actors Shanmugasundaram and Master Sridhar. Sivjai's grandson Vikram Prabhu, who is making his debut with Prabu Solomon's Kumki, also graced the event.

Karnan is one of greatest mythological heroes from Mahabaratha. The 1964 epic film based on the mythical character of Karnan was one of the grandest and most expensive films of its times. The film has been enhanced now with a digitally mastered images and sound. The star cast includes Muthuraman, late Andhra CM NTR, Savitiri, Asokan, Devika and Rajamma. The film was directed and produced by B. Ramakrishnaiah Panthulu.

Shanthi Chokkalingam, proprietor of Divya Films has re-released the digital version of the epic film.
