Karunas says no real estate, I invest in films

I invest my money in films, claims Karunas
After moderate hits such as Dindigul Sarathy and Ambasamuthiram Ambani, comedian Karunas is back to playing the lead role in films.
The actor, who is very well aware of his limitations in playing a typical hero’s role, is always tagged as the ‘hero’ of the script and not the film’s hero.  Karunas is presently making Ragalaipuram under his home production and plays the lead role in it.

After the release of Ragalaipuram, he is planning to make two more films with him essaying the lead role(s).  Unlike many actors and actresses, Karunas doesn’t believe in investing in land and in other properties to amass wealth.  Karanas was asked whether he was planning to become a full-fledged film producer or he would continue to star in films in lead roles.

“I want to do both,” said Karanus and continues “To be frank, I’m a full-fledged filmy man as have no other profession or interest to take away my attention from films and film-making.  I don’t claim that I’m the ideal hero but I’d love to continue to associate my name with script-based films.  I’m also not averse to playing the ‘comedy hero’ roles.

“I think about films all the 24-hurs in a day.  I’m not investing my had-eanred money in real estate business (taking at ‘dig’ at Santhanam? read this news) or anywhere else; I invest all my money in films and even take loans at exorbitant interest in roder to continue to make films.  I have nothing to think about other than making films.  I believe that success is guaranteed if one is honest and sincere in whatever he does,” he concluded.
