Ganesh Chathurthi or Vinayaka Chathurthi this year, on Sep 19, may well see Tamil movie goers celebrating Lord Vinayaka along with 'screen lord' Suriya.
If the grapevine is to be beleived, K V Anand's action thriller Maatraan starring Suriya will hit the silver screen, on Vinayaka Chathurthi day.

Though, traditionally, world over, including in Kollywood, Friday is the 'new movie release day', the producers are 'going the other way' and plan to release Maatraan on a Wednesday (Sep 19), we are told. The 'rationale' we are told is that 7aum Arivu was also released on a festival (Diwali) and witnessed a very good opening.

Alot of buzz, is going on amidst Suriya fans, on Maatraan, not only because of Suriya himself but also because of th eplot, which is on conjoined twins, a first for Tamil cinema. Kajal agarwal is Suriya's female partner.
