While most actors fume when they see negative reports about them in print media, there are some who doesn't get bogged down and instead try to be calm and cool.
A leading newspaper had reported that Sameera Reddy's career was over and the reason being that she’s too old having well crossed 30, and her statuesque frame doesn’t suit the roles or pairing with heroes often and she was ousted from a Mammootty flick recently!
Sameera who is extremely busy with stage shows, ramp walks and ad shoots spoke to kollyinsider.com from Kochi where she is doing an ad shoot for Seematti textiles. Says Sameera : "I have no time to clarify or even to react to such baseless reporting. My manager called me up from Mumbai and told me about this report and I asked him to chill and be cool. By God's grace I don't subscribe to negativity"
Sameera laughs and said: "I think writers should get their facts right before they target an actor. Everyone in the industry knows that every top actress who are my contemporaries in Tamil and Telugu are touching 30 or more. I was offered the Mammootty film but we just couldn't work out the dates for them."
Regarding the tone of the article, Sameera feels it was nothing but a personal vendetta against her. Sameera added: "I'm just taking it easy. The top people from the newspaper who know me for years said it was a mistake and action would be taken to rectify it."
The dusky damsel was all over the headlines when she walked the ramp for Archana Kochhar as showstopper at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2012. From Mumbai she rushed to Kochi for the ad shoot and is off to Mumbai to perform at Real state awards, along with Kareena Kapoor, Malaika Arora at Grand Hyatt on Saturday (Aug 11).
Sameera is also performing live at the Radio Mirchi Awards in Hyderabad next week. Right now, she is in a happy zone and has her hands are full. She believes that she is in a position to pick and choose her roles with utmost care and at the end of the day it's just about being content in life and to do what you love the most.
