Hilarious Thillu Mullu posters with Shiva exhibiting his karate prowess were out recently. From the looks of the posters, one's curiosity is raised — is it in fact a remake of the film, or is the film just using the same title as the yesteryear film?

Apparently actor Shiva is reprising the role of Rajini played in the original version of the film. Shiva explains, "It is a remake but with lots of changes in the script.

The crew is working on the story to suit the taste of the present generation. The basic plot is the same with alterations. I will not try to imitate Rajini but I will be myself in the film.

It has always been my favourite film and I hope not to spoil the beauty of the original." Even actor Karthi at the launch of the film said that Thillu Mullu has always been one of his favourites.

He added that he missed out watching it in theatres but now will catch up with Shiva's version of the film.
