Another son is actor.  Although Ratnam has financial constraints, he raised Viswaroopa Shirdi Sai Baba temple and is maintaining that.  Many devotees visit the temple for prayers.

Tamil Nadu Governor Rosaiah, upon knowledge of the temple, desired visiting the temple.  Following that, AM Rathnam made arrangements.  As per that, Governor Rosiah visited the temple with his wife the last 13th.  Producer AM Ratnam welcomed him.  He gifted Sai Baba picture to the Governor.  For some time, Governor was in temple. He appreciated AM Rathnam and then left.  There were other actors including Vivek.
