Jayam Raja directs Akshay Kumar-Tamanna in Ramana Hindi remake
Tamanna who is making a re entry in to Bollywood films with Himmatwala (opposite Ajay Devgan) will be doing her next Bollywood movie opposite Akshay Kumar in Ramana Hindi remake to be hemmed by Jayam Raja.

The film will be produced by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali who did Rowdy Rathore with Akshay (again a remake) directed by Prabhu Deva.

The original directed by AR Murugadoss, who went on to become a big name in Bollywood with his Ghajini remake with Aamir Khan was supposed to do the film with Shahrukh Khan. But now the latest reports suggest that Jayam Ravi would be making his directorial debut in Hindi with this film's remake and is said to be teaming up with Khiladi Akshay.

Tamanna too has worked with the director Raja in the Tamil movie Thillalangadi. When contacted by edia, Tamanna’s father said, “Yes, we are in talks for the Akshay Kumar film to be directed by Jayam Raja.”

The Tamil version saw Vijaykanth and Simran playing the leads. We hear that another top Bollywood actress is being considered to play an important role (mostly Simran's) in the film apart from Tamanna.

A source informs, “Yes, Raja will be remaking Ramana in Bollywood with Akshay in the lead. The film will have two heroines and the production house is currently in talks with a couple of top Bollywood actresses as well to play the other lead in the film. The modalities are being worked out and an official announcement will be made soon.”
