Maatran is one of the most waited releases of Kollywood during 2012 that has officially confirmed its release on Oct 12th.
Now we hear that, makers of Maatran have sold out the Kerala distribution rights to Thameen cinemas for a whooping cost.

Thameen has acquired the Kerala rights of Suriya and Kajal Agarwal starrer Maatran for Rs.3.25cr, the highest distribution cost in Kerala for Suriya so far compared to earlier movies. KV Anand has directed this action thriller Maatran, which is filmed on the concept of Siamese twin, played by Suriya for the first time.

Harris Jayraj has given the refreshing tunes for Maatran that is produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram under his AGS Entertainments banner. Maatran is slated for worldwide release on Oct 12th with 1300+ screens, with the record number of opening screens after Rajinikanth’s Enthiran and simultaneously in Telugu as ‘Brothers’. Meanwhile Suriya is gearing up to kick-start his Singam 2 with Hansika and Anushka in the direction of Hari.
