News that Mani Ratnam has completed shooting for 'Kadal' is almost confirmed. The film is an earthy love story set in a coastal village of Tamil Nadu, starring the next generation of stars like Gautam (Karthik's son) and Thulasi (Radha's younger daughter).

Given the craze for the director's film all over the South, like all other mani's movies, this movie will also be dubbed into Telugu and released under the name Kadali.

Kadal has a strong supporting cast with Arjun, Aravind Swamy among others. A R Rahman is composing the music for the film, which has Rajiv Menon handling cinematography.
