Kumki is the debutant venture of Vikram Prabhu, son of Prabhu Ganesan and grandson of Sivaji Ganesan. Director-producer Lingusamy has launched Vikram Prabhu under his Thirupathi Brothers banner and is now touted to have sold out the distribution rights to KE Gnanvelraja.

Remember recently Gnanavelraja has distributed Attakati and made enough success with no losses to either producer or distributor. And now gearing up to theater Prabhu Solomon's directorial Kumki that casts Lakshmi Menon pairing opposite debutant Vikram Prabhu.

Prabhu Solomon has once again joined hands with his Mynaa crew for this Kumki too and the viewers are already familiar with the mesmerizing tunes composed by D.Imman for Kumki.
