Thaandavam Premier raises 20 lakhs for National Association for the Blind
By screening a special premiere show on September 27th, UTV Motion Pictures helped raise Rs 20 lakhs for the National Association for the Blind (NAB).
It was an apt gesture by the production house because Thaandavam is about a visually challenged man using the human echo location technique to carry on his activities.

The event, which was held at the Sathyam Cinemas at 10 pm, was attended by several VIPs from the film industry.Reacting to the grand success of this premiere show, G. Dhananjayan, Chief - South Business, Studios, Disney UTV said, “The premiere of Thaandavam is a sold-out and we are happy that we are able to contribute to a noble cause through our film. The buzz of the film has been stupendous and the packed house premiere goes on to show the expectations audiences are putting on us.”

“We would like to thank UTV for coming forward and associating for a noble cause. We are glad to inform that the entire amount will go towards the benefit of NAB. If more and more Corporates can emulate this and start contributing to social causes through their vast array of films, it will go a long way to expand their activities and support more number of people,” said Ms. A. Nina Reddy, President of the NAB for Tamil Nadu.
