Small screen fame Vijay Adhiraj, who has featured in many TV serials and played hosts in popular Sun TV channels has made his debut as director through ‘Puthagam’. The film has Arya’s brother Sathya and ‘Thadaiyara Thaakka’ fame Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.

Tollywood star Jagapathi Babu, Actor-director Santhana Bharathi’s son Sanjay Bharathi and ‘Kadhalil Sodhapuvadu Yeppadi’ fame Vignesh will be seen in pivotal roles. The film also has experienced campaigners like Crazy Mohan, Santhanabharathi, Thalaivasal Vijay, Delhi Ganesh, Suresh, Uma Padmanaban and others as support cast.

During an interview with the press, Vijay Adhiraj spilled the beans on his upcoming film. Sathya, Sanjay and Vignesh are three youngsters who leave their village to earn a living. Sathya studies through correspondence, Sanjay works in courier and Vignesh is a hair stylist.

Rakul Preet Singh, who plays a journalist happens to meet Sathya and love blossoms between them. The director says that the film will be a new experience to watch and is an episode in every individual’s life.

James Vasanthan has scored the film’s album which has four songs among which two tracks have been recorded in Texas. The director highlights the song wrote by Madhan Karky on ‘Money’, which features the names of 187 currencies from countries across the globe, as the odd one out.

Three songs and a fight sequence have been filmed in Bangkok and the climax has been shot in the unrevealed portions of Chennai international airport. The film has been shot completely in a schedule of 60 days and will be released after the festive season of Diwali.

Richard Kevin has done the editing, Laxman has handled the Camera, G.K has taken care of the art direction and Dhilip Subbarayan has choreographed the stunt sequences. Na Muthukumar and Madhan Karky are the lyricists, and Nikhil Murugan is the film’s publicist. Dr.V.Ramadoss of Ram Pictures Pvt. Ltd has produced the film.
