There were many Tamil films remade in Tollywood earlier, latest to join the bandwagon is 'Sundarapandian'. This romantic action-drama will be remade in Telugu by filmmaker Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao.

"The rights of the film for Telugu remake were recently bought and the filmmaker is now in the process of casting a lead hero," said a source. 

Directed by Prabhakaran, Sundarapandian featured actor-filmmaker M. Sasikumar as a romantic hero for the first time pairing opposite Lakshmi Menon.

Bhimaneni, known as remake specialist, has successful Telugu remakes "Suryavamsam", "Dongodu" and "Annavaram" to his credit. His recent super hit Telugu remake was "Sudigadu", which was originally made in Tamil as "Tamizh Padam".
