Gundello Godari is an upcoming bilingual in Tamil and Telugu with the Tamil version titled Maranthen Mannithen.
The film stars Aadhi and Taapsee in lead roles and is being produced by Lakshmi Manchu who is the daughter of yesteryear actor Mohan Babu.

Recently, the actor dropped in during a re-recording session of the film, which is being produced by his good friend and Tollywood star Mohan Babu.

We hear that Mohan Babu had called the Superstar on reaching Chennai and informed him about the film’s progress. And, the actor decided to surprise his friend by turning up at maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s recording theatre located inside a prominent studio in the city. Says a source from the film’s unit, “Rajini sir spent some time watching the re-recording session and chatted with Mohan Babu sir, his daughter Lakshmi Manchu, maestro Ilaiyaraaja and the film’s director Kumar Nagendra regarding the film. He also praised the film’s cinematographer M R Palani Kumaar’s work, and wished the team good luck.”
