Bollywood star couple Saif Ali Khan, 42, and Kareena Kapoor, 32, tied the knot today, October 16, in a registered marriage ceremony, at Fortune Heights, Saif's residence in Bandra, a western Mumbai suburb.
The celebrity couple Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor got their Wedding legally registered today (16-10-12). The wedding registration took place at Saif's apartment in Bandra today afternoon.

Marriage registrar Surekha Ramesh was the official who registered the marriage with Kareena's father Randhir Kapoor, her mother Babita and Saif's mother Sharmila as witnesses.

After the registration Kareena Kapoor, Saif, Karisma and Randhir Kapoor came to the balcony and waved hands to the fans and media gathered outside the apartment. The couple will be heading to Taj Mahal Palace hotel today evening for the religious Nikaah ceremony.

Kareena will wear traditional gharara which was worn by her mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore during her wedding with Nawab Pataudi. The couple will hold a reception in Delhi on the 18th of October. After this, another ceremony will take place at Pataudi Palace.

A mehndi ceremony took place at Taj Mahal hotel in Colaba on October 15th evening in which close family friends and relatives took part.

Saif-Kareena are now Mrs and Mr Saif Ali Khan!

Mumbai: Even as the hoopla over the grandest wedding in the town approaches its crescendo, Saif Ali Khan entered into matrimony with five year long girlfriend Kareena Kapoor today in Mumbai. The high profile couple of Bollywood made it official, as Saif and Kareena went for a registry marriage today with Karisma being one of the witnesses. Along with Karishma, the three primary witnesses were parents of Kareena - Randhir Kapoor and Babita and Saif's mother Sharmila Tagore.

According to sources, Saif and Kareena got married between 11.30 am and 12 pm when Saif sent his car to fetch Registrar Surekha Lokhare from Bandra Family Court today. Saif, the Nawab of Pataudi entered his original name in the marriage application. Saif Ali Khan signed his papers in the name of Sajid Ali Khan.

Saif and Kareena after the marriage waved at the crowd as husband and wife. Saif looked dashing in a grey kurta while Kareena wore a green salwar-kurta with a heavy embellished red dupatta wrapped around her. She teamed it up with minimal jewelry, red bangles and left her hair open.

Kareena and Saif will have a nikaah ceremony at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel this evening. It is also known that Saif and Bebo will have a Christian wedding too, as Babita is a practicing Christian and that’s why the couple wants to go ahead with this ritual.

The Indian paparazzi, going all out to cover the royal wedding, caught the sister of the bride, Karisma Kapoor, at the venue of the party. Looking stunning as ever, Karisma was spotted while she stepped down from her car to enter Saif's residence, Fortune Heights where the wedding took place. Kareena’s father Randhir Kapoor too was sighted at the venue.

The registry marriage will be followed by a grand reception at a five-star hotel in the city today itself. A celebration has been planned at Saif's ancestral house in Pataudi while another reception is scheduled to take place in Delhi on October 18.

Meanwhile, Saifeena's good friend and Bollywood megastar Shah Rukh Khan contratulated the couple by tweeting, "Happiest marriage bond to my friend Saif & Kareena. May Allah keep ur family healthy & happy. Just saw it is registered,sealed & delivered."

The entire Bollywood fraternity is busy celebrating Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor's big fat wedding ceremonies that kick-started on Sunday night with a very private sangeet. Friends and family of the Kapoors and the Khan khandaan came together to wish the couple.
