Actor Silambarasan is planning on a surprise release for ‘Podaa Podi’ and is all set to take on ‘Thuppakki’ this Diwali. The film has been long in the making and has been postponed several times. But now, things are finally getting wrapped up and it is apparently ready for release.

Simbu wanting to release it during Diwali comes a surprise for many, who had expected the likes of ‘Viswaroopam’ and ‘Maattrraan’ to compete with ‘Thuppakki’. However, things aren’t confirmed yet as distributors are likely to have second thoughts over releasing it with a Vijay and A.R.Murugadoss film. It might result in ‘Podaa Podi’ moving to another date where it will get more attention. Fans got a taste of the film recently with the promo song ‘Love Panlaama Venaama’.
