Music maestro Ilayaraja is likely to perform a live concert on November 3rd in Toronto, Canada at Rogers centre.
Rogers centre is one of the biggest auditoriums in Canada which usually hosts big events of Hollywood and pop stars. This event will be graced by Yuvan Shankar Raja, Karthik Raja, Bhavatharini and many other legendary singers in the industry. The arrangements for the event are taken over by the Tamil associations set up there.
Ilayaraja had travelled to Canada to give an official announcement regarding the function and he arranged a press meet in Toronto. He went to attend the press meet at 11 O’clock this morning. At that time the members from Seeman’s “Naam Tamilar Katchi” had condemned and protest against Ilayaraja. Along with Naam Tamilar Katchi, Sri Lankan Tamilar’s also joined the protest. The programmer organizers have taken Ilayaraja safely inside the hall.
Naam Tamilar Katchi has condemned that “The month of November is for the Viduthalai Pulikal and it is celebrated as Maaveerar Naal. In that particular month no celebrations and parties have to be conducted. So the live concert of Ilayaraja also could not be conducted”.
Yesudass is a malayalee. They always fish in the troubled waters. You all know who played the major role in eliminating the LTTE. No tamilian can forget whatever happened. It will not be possible to wipe out those horrible memories of ethnic cleansing. If not for the Tamil groups even now the atrocities would have continued at a mass scale, though it is still continuing bits and pieces. We should all be united always in condemning this

ReplyDeleteThis is the problem with our society, instead of focusing on developing our lost nation we are fighting among ourselves. We need to distinguish what’s practical and what’s not. Instead of protesting to stop a musical show we need to send a message to our country asking them to keep looking into the human rights issues and our lost brothers and sisters who’s bodies are still not identified. Our energy should be focused in providing a better future for our brothers back in SL. They have gone through enough torture and trauma. What type of message are we sending by protesting? Do you really think India is going to take any sort of action because of us protesting for this show? or Canada is going to take action because we are protesting against a musical show? Those who would like to morn during the month of November it’s there choice to do so, people morn in different ways, and it is everyone right to choose how they do it and when they do it. We are all smart and educated people. Do you really think that we are sending a positive message to the Canadian Society? I have also lost many families back home. Let’s try to approach this in a different manner.

I have lot of Questions need to be answered.
1. Why Ilayaraja’s Shaw was chosen in Month of November?
2. Who is Trinity Even Organisers?
3. What is the motive of Event?
A: Making money (Business)
B: Indian Srilankan Politic
Or Borth.
Most likely I will cancel my Ticket anyway!

ReplyDeleteBy just "not fucking in the month of November alone" and well-fucking eeveryday during all other months is NOT sufficient to show our HONEST support for fallen soldiers. "WE" MUST NOT fuck or celebrate birthdays, deepavali, newyear etc etc during rest of our life if "WE" are all TRUE supporters. This is NOT like "KANTHASATTY" fasting for observing for a period and then enjoy the NEXT with MUTTON BURIYANI and CHICKEN legs.... Be progmatic in your approaches and actions guys!
