Anushka is set to act in the direction of Gunasekhar in the historical movie Rudrama Devi where the actress will enact the role of Rani Rudrama Devi.
Maestro Ilayaraja will be composing the music cores for this historical film.

The film, Rani Rudrama Devi will also be produced by Gunasekhar under the banner Guna Team Works banner while Thota Tharani is the art director. Gunasekhar during the press-meet informs that Rudrama Devi movie will be the first historical stereoscopic 3D film in India and it will have lavish sets showcasing the first historical stereoscopic 3D film.

The pre-production works for this bilingual film are under progress and the film will hit the sets from February 2013.
