AL Vijay and Vijay’s untitled film with Amala Paul as its leading lady gets a new baddie, who makes his k-town debut with this film.

Rajeev Pillai, a model turned actor who has done few Malayalam films and a Hindi movie will now play the second lead in this Ilayathalapthy Vijay film.

Rajeev Pillai who is currently shpooting for the film in Mumbai says, “It will be too early to reveal more details. Vijay’s look in the film is still not out. All I can say is that I play Vijay’s right-hand man.”

After Vidtyut Jamwal , it is now the turn of Rajeev who is all praise for Vijay.

Rajeev Pillai said, “Vijay is such a down-to-earth person. I have come across many small-time actors and even debutants with a lot of attitude. However, Vijay is just like any other person on the set. Once after the shoot in a school, I saw him sleeping on a bench. Despite being a superstar, he doesn’t even use his caravan to take rest.”

Interestingly, it is the film’s heroine Amala Paul who has introduced Rajeev to the director. We hear that Amala and Rajeev knew each other since their modelling days and it was she who recommended him, by showing his portfolio to AL Vijay.

AL Vijay too had known him, since he directed the Celebrity Cricket League’s Theme song, which Rajeev had participated in.

Lets wait to see if this guy makes an impressive debut in K-town and win accolades from the audience.
