Official Sources confirmed with news that the release of the Vijay starrer Thuppakki has been postponed to Nov 13. The film was slated to be released on November 9th and the advance bookings commenced at the Abhirami Theatres.

But now we hear that some distributors are not keen on a November 9th release for various reasons. While the Andhra Pradesh distributors do not want this film to clash with Nagarjuna’s Damarukam on November 9th, the Kerala distributor wants to have a grand release in that state.

On the other hand, overseas distributors prefer a weekend release and hence are keen on November 9th, say sources. In the meantime, Abhirami Theatres have discontinued the advance booking for Thuppakki. Hopefully they will start the booking again anytime as the release date is announced now.
