The industry buzz is that Vijay will be soon be doing a movie for AGS Entertainment.

The cast and crew are yet to be finalized, barring Vijay. This includes the director too. This will be the first time that Vijay and AGS are coming together for a production.


KV Anand's Maattrraan with Suriya in the lead was also produced by AGS Entertainment. This Vijay project is already garnering a lot of attention.

While Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s recent release Thuppaki is rocking at the box office, the latest buzz making arounds is that he has been roped in by AGS Enterntainment for their next. The rest of the cast and crew, including the director are yet to be finalized. The movie seems to be titled Thalaivan and would be Vijay’s first association with AGS Entertainment. We need to wait for official confirmations from the people concerned.

AGS Entertainment was established in 2006 by three brothers Kalpathi S Aghoram, Kalpathi S Ganesh and Kalpathi S Suresh. Their first production was Thiruttu Payale followed by Santhosh Subramaniam, both emerging a commercial success. Other remarkable movies from the producers are Madrasapattinam, Engeyum Kadhal, Yudham Sei, Avan Ivan and the recently released Suriya flick Maatraan to name a few.

In a surprising move following Thuppakki's success, Vijay and SAC are reported to have voluntarily met AGS and expressed their willingness to commit Vijay's dates without specifically agreeing on a director. We had earlier reported that Vijay Vauhini, V Creations, RS Infotainment and other major production houses were eager to sign-up Vijay. This has surprised the industry since AGS was not in the list of probables.

Insiders reveal that AGS may have also signed-up director KV Anand for Rajinikanth's next proposed venture. The fact that Vijay and KV Anand are both committed to AGS has increased the chances of Vijay and KV Anand working together, if Rajinikanth's proposed project with KV Anand fail to take off.

AGS recently produced Suriya and KV Anand’s Maattrraan. AGS is one of the few production firms in Tamil which is known for being very professional in managing projects and settled the promised remunerations signed in the contracts.
