AR Rahman is going to perform before a huge 25,000 crowd for a special concert titled Thaai Manne Vanakkam (TMV) for Jaya TV.

The Academy Award winner who redefined Indian music is all set to enthral audiences at the YMCA grounds at Nandanam in Chennai on the 29th of December.

Jaya TV and AR Rahman held a press meet on December 22 afternoon to give details of this eagerly awaited musical fiesta.

One of the highlights of TMV would be that ARR will be performing only Tamil songs after a gap of nearly 12 years.

AR Rahman said: “The concert will feature the best known singers in Tamil film music and it will be a pure Tamil show from Roja to Kadal.”

The Jaya TV press statement says: “Several musicians are being flown in from foreign countries to perform at the concert. This will include five female drummers from London.”
