Gautham Vasudev Menon is all pepped up for the release of his romantic movie 'Neethane En Ponvasantham' on 14th December starring Jiiva and Samantha in Tamil and looks like the director is looking forward to direct Thala Ajith.

While attending a media conclave in a womens college in Chennai, one among the audience quizzed him about when he would direct Ajith, to which the director responded positively saying he was waiting for the star actor to call him and that he would oblige immediately.

Looks like the director is ready with a basic story at the least for all the top actors. Earlier the ace director was supposed to do a film with Ilayathalapathy Vijay titled 'Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru' which was later dropped due to various reason. Gautham Menon's Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru seems to have got a new lease of life with Telugu actor Mahesh Babu stepping into the shoes of Vijay.

Ajith is busy with his project with Vishnuvardhan and would move to his next flick with Siruthai Siva and has postponed his surgery for this official commitments as well. Looks like Gautham Menon has to wait a little longer for the call from Ajith. Both the director's and Ajith's fans would too be waiting.
