Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya audio was launched by Simbu and Shankar in a grand event at Devi Cineplex yesterday [Dec 9] evening. The event went off smoothly despite the surging crowds of fans.
KLTA soundtracks were launched by ace director Shankar and the first copy is received by Simbu aka STR. A club number titled 'love letter' was screened at the launch event along with an emotional speech by Santhanam and the latter was praised by Shankar and STR for his punctuality and working style.

Comedian Santhanam turns producer and hero with this comedy caper Kanna Laddu Tinna Aasaya, which has Santhanam, Powerstar Sreenivasan and debutant Sethu wooing heroine Vishakha Singh. Gautham Menon and Simbu have done cameos in KLTA under Santhanam's Handmade Films banner and Ramanarayanan of Thenandal Films banner.

Santhanam was seen handling the crowds through the microphone. Ramanarayanan of Thenandal Films is the co producer. The music is by Thaman who was also present. A trailer, a teaser and two songs were shown.
The film seems like a complete laugh riot with every line bringing down the roof. A club song with Santhanam, Powerstar Dr Srinivasan and debutant Sethu and heroine Vishakha Singh was screened along with a song titled 'love letter' between Santhanam and Vishakha, which was a take on an old hit number.

The speech by Santhanam was emotional but wrapped in humour that made the guests on stage clap in glee. Shankar and STR were seen laughing the loudest and enjoying themselves. STR came in for high praise from Santhanam who said, 'At a time when no one would promote a TV actor to join films, STR gave me a break with Manmadhan. He is my movie godfather and has been promoting me with more roles in other films as well. I am eternally indebted to him”.

STR said that despite rising to fame, Santhanam had never refused to give him dates while Shankar praised his punctuality and relaxed working manner.Srinivasan even hoped for a sequel. Others at the well attended event were Rajesh, Udayanidhi Stalin, Kannan, KR, Pannerselvam, Abirami Ramanathan and others.

Balasubramaniam's camerawork came in for praise from Santhanam. 'We asked him for cooum shots but he gave us something ressembling the Thames river in London!' quipped Santhanam. Gautham Menon and STR both have done cameos in the film which is about three lovers wooing the same girl.

KLTA has four songs penned by Vaali and Vivega in the composition of Thaman, who were also present in the audio release event along with Rajesh, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Kannan, KR, Pannerselvam, Abirami Ramanathan, Santhanam, Powerstar Dr Srinivasan, Sethu, Vishakha Singh.
