Earlier we had reported about Yash Raj Film's production venture in Tamil, who plans to remake their hit film Band Baaja Baaraat.

It is now confirmed that Nani who catapulted to fame with Naan Ee (Eega) will play the lead in place of Ranveer Singh, in its Tamil version.

Though he does not have any line up of movies in Tamil post Naan Ee, Nani will have a list of Telugu project sin his kitty, which includes, Paisa, Yeto Velipoindhi Manasu and Janda Pai Kapiraju.

While the heroine who would replace Anushka Sharma is not yet revealed, its is gossiped that a top B-town actress is likely to essay the role! Nani on the other hand is thrilled to be YRF's first romantic hero for their first venture in South.

Nani who is excited to have bagged this project said, "I think Marriage is really doing wonders for me. I'm thrilled that I signed this film. It's an honor to be a part of such a big project with a prestigious banner. I'm looking forward to it."

Meanwhile Nani's spokesperson told media, "He signed on the dotted line on Monday and the shooting of the film is expected to start early in 2013. However, for the female lead, talks are on and a top Bollywood actress might be roped in."
