Sattam Oru Iruttarai faced the censors yesterday and has emerged with a UA certificate. This indicates that the film will not get the tax sops announced the government as it did not get the clean U which is a major pre-requisite for it.

Sattam Oru Iruttarai remake, which was a smash in all the languages nearly three decades ago, is directed by newbie Sneha Britto. Interestingly, she is director SA Chandrasekar’s niece and had directed the film under his able guidance as he was the man who had wielded the megaphone for the original version.

With the censor certification process done, SOI is gearing up for release on December 14th, say industry sources.
