No Superstar is complete without super heroines. While in some cases, the heroines are superior with their beauty, in some other films they remain on top because of their acting potential.

The star power of Superstar has soared sky high when he was paired opposite some powerhouse women talents as anti-heroines and some such performances were given by Vijayashanthi in Mannan and Ramya Krishnan as Neelambari in Padayappa.

Rajinikanth-Radhika

Films: Oorkavalan, Pokkiri Raja, Nallavanuku Nallavan, Naan Mahan Alla

Whenever a heroine is paired with a super hero like Rajinikanth, the chances of the heroine ending up doing a very subtle role becomes the norm. But with Radhika, that was not the case. She could showcase very bold and stylish performances in the company of Rajini.  In Moondru Mugam, Radhika did a sterling performance as the journalist and her performance was noticed in Oorkavalan too.

Rajinikanth - Sridevi :

Rajinikanth and Sridevi have acted in many films and most of them were hits. At one point of time, Sridevi had to adjust her dates between the entire Superstar’s of south including Rajini, Kamal and Chiranjeevi. Some of the important movies that came up in the Rajini-Sridevi combination are 16 Vayathinale, Priya, Anbukku Naan Adimai, Adutha Vaarisu, Jhonny and Pokkiri Raja.

Rajinikanth-Amala

Films–Velaikaran, Maapilai, Kodi Parakuthu.

Rajinikanth and Amala formed a beautiful pair onscreen. Some of their hit films included Maapilai, Velaikaran and Kodiparakuthu.

Rajinikanth-Sripriya

Rajini Kanth- Sripriya can be called as the evergreen pair in Kollywood. Sripriya has acted with Rajini as pair in several films and Rajini used to praise her acting skills.

Gouthami has acted in more films with Rajini than Kamal and all of them were blockbusters.

Films – Mannan, Annamalai, Pandiyan.  

Rajinikanth and  Kushboo made a phenomenal pair. Especially the “Kondail thalampu koodayil Kushboo” song was a major hit in Annamalai. The stylish-chubby pair was one of the best pairs in Kollywood.

Films: Muthu, Veera, Yejaman, Anbulla Rajinikanth.  

Rajinianth and Meena acted together in Anbulla Rajinikanth with Meena as a child artiste. Later both of them acted together as lead pair and gave many blockbusters which includes Yejaman and Muthu.
