Shivaji is a film which was directed by Shankar and released in the year 2007. This film was produced by AVM Productions.
Now AVM Productions in association with Prasad Labs have used a new technology called 3D Dolby Atmos sound technology in this film Shivaji at a cost of Crores and Crores of rupees.

It is also important to note that this is the first time this technology has been used in Indian cinema. This Shivaji 3D film is being released on Rajnikanth’s birthday(12-12-12).

Two song sequences and one fighting sequence of Shivaji 3D was screened for the media at Sathyam Cinemas. Before this was screened a video of Rajni speaking was also screened. Rajni said, " I am currently not in Chennai. AVM Productions had produced a high budgeted film Shivaji and released it.

Now the same AVM Productions along with Prasad Labs have spent more than 3 times and have converted this film in 3D format. They could have produced three films in the money spent in converting Shivaji in 3D format. I have already seen the Shivaji 3D film. It is fantastic. AVM Productions has given this film to fans as my birthday gift. I am very thankful to AVM Saravanan and M S Gugan."

Producers AVM Saravanan, M S Gugan, Aparna Gugan, director Shankar, cinematographer/ director K V Anand, lyricist Vairamuthu, actor Suman, directors S P Muthuraman, Jayachitra and Prasad Lab Sai Prasad were present on this occasion at Sathyam Cinemas.
