Tamil films are gearing up to make it big internationally. 2012 has seen the screening of many Tamil movies in Film Festivals and latest we hear is Vazhakku Enn 18/9 and Pizza are chosen to be screened in 1st South Asian Film Festival taking place in Paris.
The 1st SAFF happening in Paris will screen movies from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. Organizers have planned to monitor films from five different countries, as they want to show that South Asian Film Festival is not only for Bollywood movies.
Along with Balaji Sakthivel's Vazhakku Enn 18/9 produced by Lingusamy's Thirupathi Brothers banner and debutant Karthik Sunnaraj directed Pizza starring Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan, other films namely Gurvinder Singh's Anhey Ghore Da Daan, Ajay Bahl's B A Pass, Bangladeshi film Udhao by Amit Ashraf and Nepali film Loot by Nischal Basnet are the other contenders.
Onir's My Brother Nikhil, AR Murugadoss-Suriya's 7am Arivu The 7th sense and Abhinay Deo's Delhi Belly are the 3 other Indian films to be screened under special sections during 1st SAFF in Paris, taking place from 16th to 20th January 2013.
