Shruthi Haasan has demanded Rs 1 Crore to act in the place of Samantha. Shruthi Haasan is currently acting in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films.

The Telugu film Gabbar Singh in which she has acted has become a blockbuster and because of this she has raised her salary to Rs 1 Crore.

Producer Dil Raju had approached Samantha to act in film titled Yevadu which has Ram Charan Teja in the lead role. Samantha who initially agreed was not able to act in this film because of her call sheet problems.

So the producer had to cast another heroine in her place. The crew suggested Shruthi Haasan’s name and because of this he approached her. It is understood that Shruthi has demanded Rs 1 Crore as salary.

The producer was shocked. He requested her to lessen her salary. Talks were held with her for two weeks with regard to this. The producer decided to cast some other heroine.

Shruthi who did not want to lose the opportunity to pair with Ram Charan has agreed to act in this film for Rs 60 Lakhs for which the producer agreed.

Shruthi while speaking said, “Money is not the matter to me. Only roles are important. There was delay to act in this film because there was difficulty in allotting dates for this film. There is no problem regarding with the salary.”
