Maestro Ilaiyaraaja rocked New Jersey on Feb 23 at The Prestigious Prudential Center Arena - Newark, in his first ever live concert in the city.
Some of India’s most popular and Nationally reputed singers like SPB, Hariharan, Chitra, Sadhana Sargam, Mano and youngsters like Karthik, Vijay Yesudas, Yuvanshankar Raja, Karthik Raja, Shweta performed live on stage.

Earlier, almost all the tickets for the maestro's live concert, were sold out within 48 hours. From the trend of the tickets getting sold, it is also seen that several fans of the legend are flying in from far off places like Dallas, Atlanta, Chicago, North Carolina, Boston and Virginia. The organisers has also launched five promotional videos for the concert. It was a dream come true for the vast community of Indian music lovers, and numerous fans of Maestro Ilaiyaraaja in the USA, particularly in the East Coast.
