After working with C S Amudhan and Venkat Prabhu, two directors who are known for the humour in their films, Chandru is debuting with an untitled film with Jai and Niveda Thomas (Allari Naresh's pair in Poraali) in the lead.

"I wrote the dialogues and lyrics in Tamizh Padam and was also an associate director in Mankatha. This film is a fantasy comedy revolving around four men played by Jai, VTV Ganesh, Sathyan and Rajkhumar," says the director, "The film is set in Chennai, though we will be going abroad to shoot a minor portion." The film is being produced by Kalpathi S Agoram and Chandru is introducing a new cinematographer J Anand (an associate of Nirav Shah) and composer (Prem Kumar). Contrary to reports, the director says that the film is yet to be titled. "Yes, we have planned to call it Saraswathi Sabatham, but since it is the title of an old film, we are waiting to get clearance. We will announce the title in a day," he says.
