After the success of Pizza and then with Naduvula Konja Pakkatha Kaanom, Vijay Sethupathi has emerged the new hero with a line up of film under his belt.

Vijay Sethupathi who is busy with Soodhu Kavvum, directed by Nalan Kumarasamy alongside Sanchita Shetty, is now gearing up for his next film yet again directed by a short film maker turned director. Vijay Sethupathi is also working in a film titled Rummy. His other line up of films include, Sangudevan, Vasanthakumaran and Mellisai.

Pannaiyarum Padminiyum, directed by SU Arun Kumar has Nandita of Attakathi fame playing the lead. After Nalanum Nandhiniyum and Ehir Neechal Nandita has bagged this movie. Nandita is also paired with Vijay Sethupathi in the film Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara which also stars Swathi of Subramaniapuram fame.

The film has Jaya Prakash in the role of 'Pannaiyaar' (landlord) who wishes to buy the car Premier Padmini. As per reports, a huge set was erupted at Madurai which costs around 40 lakhs.

Produced by Ganesh under Magic Box Films banner, has Sreekar Prasad's editing and Sujit Sarang's cinematography. The film was initially made as a short film in the show 'Naalaya Iyakunar' under the same title.
