While actor 'Power Star' Srinivasan cools his heels in Puzhal prison on charges of cheating, the City Police Commissionerate is flooded with complaints against him from Chandigarh to Goa to Ongole of fraud running to several crore of rupees.

Investigations with Srinivasan revealed that he had taken over Rs seven crore as 'commission' from businessmen on the promise that he would arrange loans from banks.

In the backdrop of this case, the city police have also cautioned the public not to approach such individuals who cheat people using the pretext of loans.

Srinivasan was arrested on 26 April for defrauding an Andhra Pradesh-based businessman to the tune of Rs 50 lakh promising him to obtain a low-interest loan of Rs 20 crore.
