Shahrukh Khan and Ajith had acted together in Santosh Sivan's Asoka more than a decade back and the two still share a healthy relationship. SRK recently said that Ajith and his wife are very sweet and that he didn't know that Ajith was such a big star when they acted together.

Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan openly confessed that he never knew that Ajith Kumar is such a big personality down here in South. The actor was present herein Chennai to attend the Vijay Annual Awards to receive the Chevaliar Sivaji Ganeshan Excellence Award.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “I met Ajith Kumar for the first time while shooting for Santhosh Sivan’s Ashoka. He never took any remuneration for performing this role and he is such a good chap.

His wife is so sweet and he had injured his back bone at that time and we spoke for 5 days. But I realize how big star he is down here as I hear the unceasing applause when I utter his name.”
It is worth mentioning that Ajith Kumar and Shahrukh Khan have some significance as the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s Don and Rajnikanth’s Billa were remade at the same time by these stars. Also Shahrukh Khan maintained a long hair in Don-2 that is much similar to Ajith’s short time look in Paramasivan.
