Small Screen Producers vs FEFSI!

The Tamilnadu Chinna Thirai Producers Council today resolved not to co-operate with the Film Employees Federation of South India (FEFSI) and has decided to form a parallel association soon.

Addressing media persons after a hurriedly convened general council meeting here today, actress – producer and president of the council, Radhika Sarath Kumar said, ‘FEFSI had resorted to a strike yesterday without consulting us. As a result of which we suffered huge losses’. ‘We have resolved not to co-operate or work with FEFSI employees in the future and a new association would be formed in this regard. All affiliated associations of the small screen have expressed their support to us’, she added.

It may be recalled that the Car Drivers Union affiliated to FEFSI recently had a split. Hence it was resolved at a meeting of FEFSI recently that they will not extend any co-operation to the drivers union. Apparently annoyed at their decision, members of the union attacked a couple of office-bearers of the FEFSI on Monday.

Condemning the incident, FEFSI members resorted to a strike yesterday. As a result of which shooting of many films and television serials were affected.
