There was a buzz in the industry that Vemal and Vijay Sethupathi were roped in as the lead actors for director Seenu Ramasamy’s next project, Sontha Ooru.

However, the latest update is that Attakathi Dinesh has replaced Vemal and will be teaming up with Vijay Sethupathi in the film. Reports have it that Vemal opted out of the project as he didn’t want to work with Vijay Sethupathy and didn’t want to share screen space with him, considering the fact that Vemal has more experience in the industry.

Renowned novelist Ramakrishnan has penned this script for the film and Seenu Ramasamy of Thenmerku Paruvakatru will helm the project. Now that the lead cast is on board, the shoot for the film may begin anytime soon.
