Trisha is back in the headlines!! No wonder we call her the biggest survivor in south Indian films. We understand that Trisha is the front runner to be signed up as Suriya's heroine in Gautham Vasudev Menon directed Dhruva Natchathiram.

Dhruva Natchithiram will have AR Rahman's music and cinematography by an Australian cameraman will start rolling from June 17.

Though the official confirmation is yet to come from the production house, the buzz is that Trisha has a powerful, meaty role. The cast also has Parthepan, Sudhanshu Pandey and Simran in important roles.

Trisha has enjoyed a consistent run at the movies for over a decade and her pairing with Suriya a lot of curiosity as they have done films like Mounam Pesiyathe and Aaru in the past.

Remember that Trisha has confessed that it was the character of Jessie she played in Gautham's Vinnaithandi Varuvaya which is one of her career best.

However the official confirmation is yet to come, with strong rumours that Amala Paul has also thrown in her towel. Amala had tweeted : " I have just accomplished one of the most awaited dreams in my career, no not yet the time to share with u my wonderful people."

When contacted, Gautham was unavailable for comment a he is fine-tuning the script in an undisclosed destination. The announcement will be made officially by Gautham in the next few days as Dhruva Natchathiram is set to roll on June 17. Watch this space.

The fight over the female lead in Dhruva Natchathiram has already begun. Trisha Krishnan, one of the top actresses of South, and Amala Paul, the fast-growing actress in South, are in the race. In fact, they are the only two strong contenders to play the female lead in the movie starring Surya and directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.

The rumour mills say that Trisha Krishnan has been approached and she is very likely to sign the project. The actress has a very good role and she is more or less has given his consent. It has to be noted that the actress had earlier worked in Gautham Menon's Vinnaithandi Varuvaya where her role of Jessie won a lot of accolades.

No Confirmation Yet


However, neither Trisha Krishnan nor Amala Paul has confirmed the news. And Gautham Menon remained unavailable for the comment, as he is busy giving final touches to the script at an unknown location.

Shooting Starts


Surya and Gautham Menon's third combo film Dhruva Natchathiram was launched on May 2. The regular shooting of the film will start from June 16.


Other Cast


Gautham Vasudev Menon's Dhruva Natchathiram will be made on his banner Photon Kathaas. He has already finalised Simran and R Parthepan for the supporting cast.
