‘Thalaivaa’ is movie pairing up actor Vijay and Amala Paul. The movie is set for release on August 9th. A complaint petition has been filed demanding ban on the movie.

P Murugesan, from Ashok Nagar, Chennai, has filed complaint petition with Chennai City Civil Court.

The petition by Murugesan reads as follows: -

‘AL Udhaya had requested for loan of Rs 21 lakhs on May 1st. Udhaya said that he is acting in Vijay starrer ‘Thalaivaa’, and guaranteed that he would settle the loan as soon as he receives the remuneration.’


‘Udhaya presented the necessary letter of assurance in the presence of producer S Chandra Prakash Jain and director Vijay. Both the producer and director gave assurance that Udhaya would keep up the word. I believed their promise and gave the money. ‘


‘In a development, I came across media reports that the movie ‘Thalaivaa’ is set for release in August. When I asked about the development, Udhaya did not give me a satisfactory reply. If my loan is not settled, permission for release of the movie should not be given. If permission is given for release of the movie, I would be affected. So, ban should be imposed on release of the movie.’

The petition is coming for hearing in Chennai City Civil Court today (Saturday).
